Halloween Crunch!

Halloween is almost here. We’ve got things well lined up, but I still feel the pressure to get everything right for the party. I have the piñata done. That’s a huge relief. Monkey was awesome and gave me a lot of help. There are a ton of hours in that! My costume is pretty well set, just a few adjustments need to be done. I still have no idea what I’m going to be doing for the make up. I couldn’t get any of the white make up products to actually cover in a bold white and stay put when I started putting the glitter Read the rest of this entry

And Back Again…

Just like that, vacation is over and I’m back to work. It was a nice vacation. I enjoyed not having an agenda and not having to solve any problems. I did quite a bit of reading. Finished one book and got half way through another. I did some drawing. Got 2 more coloring pages completed. But mostly, I loafed and chatted with the good company around me. The food was great and I didn’t have to cook any of it (which always makes it taste better). The long drive wasn’t even bad. We listened to an audio book. Read the rest of this entry

Xmas Past

Well, the Xmas storm is over. I hope that everyone liked the presents that we got for them and the ones that I made. I hope Dad’s socks and Toadie’s sweater fit! Today, I am making pea soup, which is almost done. Working on figuring out the formatting for posting recipes here on WP so that when I post recipes they will look nicer and be more user friendly. I’ll be posting my pea soup recipe soon. I am listening to chanted Hindu mantras set to music over on Read the rest of this entry

Thank You!

I cannot express how much I appreciate those who have been coming to read the stories I have been writing for the November challenge. The encouragement and comments have been lovely. I just want you all to know that I welcome any criticism you might have of my works. Getting input from my readers on any aspect of the stories will help my writing improve. Again, thank you so much for reading!

Book Worms -Response

Well, looks like most of the people visiting this site are readers. Which is good since I’m writing so much! I love books and normally read quite alot. As of late I have been rather busy and haven’t been reading much of anything. I’m way behind on my reading goal for the year. Going to have to find a day to myself that I can get my nose into a book for a few hours (or more).

What have you guys been reading as of late? I’m currently still working on Slaughter House Five. It’s a weird book… I’ll review it once I get all the way through.

Happy reading!

Piggie Update 030515

Things have been BUSY!

Starting things out: how’d the first week of the plan for the blog go. Answer? Not so great. I think I missed the medical post, but I got all the others in. But not on the right days… >.< Seemed like being more structured would be helpful, but it’s not seeming to be so far. 😛 Read the rest of this entry

Piggie Update 020815

Not sure when I wrote my last update, but it seems that it has been a while…

So, my kid has turned 15. How the fuck does that happen? I’m sure I’m not old enough for her to be 15 already. Sigh. Where does time go? Despite time being a bandit, I am blessed. We have a beautiful daughter that is smart, funny and has a good heart. There really isn’t much more a parent could want from a kid. Read the rest of this entry
