Xmas Past

Well, the Xmas storm is over. I hope that everyone liked the presents that we got for them and the ones that I made. I hope Dad’s socks and Toadie’s sweater fit! Today, I am making pea soup, which is almost done. Working on figuring out the formatting for posting recipes here on WP so that when I post recipes they will look nicer and be more user friendly. I’ll be posting my pea soup recipe soon. I am listening to chanted Hindu mantras set to music over on Read the rest of this entry

Blue October

I am a fan of Blue October. I love their music. I own every album and listen to their music almost every day. Their work is thought provoking. Justin writes about shit that is real. It is amazing. But what is even more amazing it that they are coming to Maine and I am going to see them!

*Insert excited squeal here*

Mad World (Great Song)

All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow

And I find it kinda funny
I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which I’m dying
Are the best I’ve ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It’s a very, very mad world mad world

Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday
And I feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what’s my lesson
Look right through me, look right through me

And I find it kinda funny
I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which I’m dying
Are the best I’ve ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It’s a very, very mad world … mad world
Enlarging your world
Mad world

Nerdcore Headquarters

ok. So, I was introduced to this today. And I have to say that this is the coolest things EVER. I can’t say that I am really into the music itself (not a fan of hip hop), but I appreciate that there is finally a genre of music that is aimed at us Nerds. Because lets face it, we’re a big part of the current culture and infrastructure. Check it out and give the Nerds some love ❤

Proud Parent

My daughter’s concert was today. She is in both band and chorus. Elspeth is very musically inclined. Something she did NOT get from me! 😛 Read the rest of this entry

Someone with a Great Voice

My husband has a great voice. Its one of the things that first attracted me to him. He is well spoken and has a great use of tone. Not to mention that he has a beatufil singing voice. I could seriously listen to him for hours. Too bad he is all but mute most of the time >.<
