Moodle Cloud

I’m trying out something new for Scholar Owl’s class: Moodle Cloud. Since life has gotten weird and my schedule has become completely unpredictable, we’re trying an online course format. I was going to do that through my blog. But bleh. That seriously clutters things up quickly and makes it hard to find shit later. So, I went around and decided upon trying this site out. Thus far, I am really liking it. It has a free option which is just the price that I love. It has a ton of different options and formats that makes putting stuff up flexible. There’s a learning curve for figuring out how said formatting works, but it has about the same difficulty level as wordpress; not too bad. That being said, I am terrible at learning new platforms. Once I’ve got them I’m gold. But if I have to get in there and figure shit out by myself, it will take me a while. The up side is that the student side looks super user friendly. Dragon joined as a student so we could see how things worked and looked. I’m really liking the site and think it will be way easier then the blog plan. It will also keep track of the grades for me which is a bonus. I’m excited about it and I hope that it doesn’t give Scholar Owl too much trouble. The only negative thing that I have to say about it thus far is that it doesn’t have a introduction tutorial that’s worth a damn. When I come onto a new platform, I find it super helpful if they have an automatic tutorial that kicks in and leads me around the site and tells me how to do shit. The tutorial for this site was just sad and useless. Overall, first impression is getting 4 stars. I’ll let you know how things go with the platform as we get into using it more.
