This is a lovely post.

It is always hard to see the kids come through the doors at the hospital. I know that they need to be there and I hope that we can help them. But their stories are as terrible as the stories of the adults. But being young makes it worse. Not that I have no compassion for the adults, because I do. It is just worse for me when I think of a child being hurt the way some of these kids have been.

So, yes “Be who you needed when you were younger” and be available to those around you.
