The Capture

The Capture (Guardians of Ga’Hoole #1) written by Kathryn Lasky read by Pamela Garelick

This some something I picked out to read while I was trying to get crocheting done for Xmas. I was the only one awake and it was way to quiet but I didn’t want to listen to a book that demanded focus. So, I picked this. It’s a young adult book. Not a bad story. There is a little owl, Soren, who is kicked out of his nest by his brother and then is snatched by some evil owls and taken to a training school. It has your classic stuff. Soren meets a friend, Gylfie, while in the evil school. There’s a little mystery element with the two owls trying to figure out what is going on at the camp. There is the creepy element of owls having their minds taken over. A little adventure. And there is the moral messages in abundance. Over all, it’s a cute little story. The narrator was fine. Nothing remarkable either way.
