Fahrenheit 451

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

I love this book. Ray Bradbury has a wonderful writer’s voice that is quirky, with a unique but easy flow. I have always enjoyed reading his works and have found his writing worth coming back to. This novel digs deep into social questions and the nature of humanity. It really looks at the way that we build our society and how much value we put on individuality. This is a dystopia. Books are used to demonstrate the importance of people having the freedom of speech and of thinking for themselves rather then following authority blindly. It isn’t the books themselves that are important but what they represent and the ideas that they hold. If you haven’t read this book, I think you should.
