Healthy Living: The Pokémon Go Phenomenon

Source: Healthy Living: The Pokémon Go Phenomenon – Should We Let Our Kids Catch ’em All? | WABI TV5

I find this whole thing very strange and it only keeps getting bigger. I’m starting to see people hunting for Pokemon while I am out and about. It’s strange. I can’t say that I’m a huge fan of overlaying a digital world onto the real world. I don’t even carry a cell phone around with me most of the time and I don’t have one with all the bells and whistles. I have a difficult time with the way that our phones have completely pervaded society.

What do you guys think? Are you Pokemon Go fans?

  1. I did see an article from Bipolar Blurble titled in the way of questioning as to whether this game encouraged addiction but I haven’t had a chance to read it yet. I’ve been wondering the same thing though. Games are addicting enough already, do we really need to make them more so?
