These amuse me very much. But they also remind me of the way that people talk about love. It’s all the glamour and the silly, fluffy romantic shit that I could choke on. Love isn’t like that. It’s about being comfortable with someone and sharing weird (or completely boring) things together. Sure, your standard romance crap covers what most people experience when they first fall in love. But it doesn’t stay like that. And I’m glad for it. Over time, it becomes something stronger and more comfortable. Like a good pair of shoes. They start to take the shape of your feet and become even better to wear. But they aren’t as shiny and aren’t something new to show off. So, yeah. Love is a pair of shoes.
