Apple Crisp

This is the recipe, but the truth is that I only follow it in spirit 😉 Made it so many times that I just sort of toss things in now.

Apple Crisp

  • Servings: 10
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Print

This is a warm, syrupy and crunchy apple dish that warms the soul.

  1. 6 medium apples (peeled, cored and thinly sliced)
  2. 2/3 to 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  3. 1/2 cup flour
  4. 1/2 rolled oats
  5. 3/4 tsp cinnamon
  6. 3/4 tsp nutmeg
  7. 1/3 cup soft butter

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Place apples in greased square pan (8x8x2). Blend remaining ingredients until mixture is crumbly. Spread over apples. Bake 30-35 minutes or until apples are fork tender and topping is golden brown.
