My Dear Little Brother…
Mike, you have always held a special place in my heart and always will. I wish you happiness in the years to come with Jeannette. What advice can I give to you? What wisdom can I impart to help you towards happiness?
This is a time of new beginnings. A time that promises are made and families come together to celebrate.
And know happiness.
A marriage is a journey. The vows are a doorway into a world that will now be shared. Know that these vows must be renewed in your heart every day or they will fade away and crumble to dust. Celebrate in the small things. Express gratitude for that which you are given, no matter how small. In the difficult times, remind your self of this moment and the feelings you had. Grasp onto that and hold fast.
Have a flexible attitude towards your marriage, a willingness to create a balance in the time you spend together and apart, and an openness to change. For change will come. Remember the days of courting and don’t leave them behind. Have dates. Flirt. Say “I love you.” Remind each other of the qualities that drew you together. Never be afraid to reveal your heart. Live in the now. Know that you will hurt each other at times, its is a painful reality that we are always hurt by those we love. But know that these times are part of the journey and that it is forgiveness that will lay the foundation of trust.
I wish for you to be:
Blessed be by the element of air.
with communication, intellectual growth, and wisdom.
Blessed be by the element of fire.
with harmony, vitality, creativity, and passion.
Blessed be by the element of water.
with friendship, intuition, caring, understanding, and love.
Blessed be by the element of earth.
with tenderness, happiness, compassion, and sensuality.
May you each and together be blessed with health, happiness, harmony, and love.
