I Love You but I’m Not in Love with You…

I’ve been in love twice. I never really believed that I would find “true love.” Sorry, I’m just not a romantic. I don’t believe that love conquers all or that there is something magical about love that makes things “happily ever after.” When I was in high school, I fell in love for the first time. It was one of those relationships that would never work and we both knew it. So, we decided to be best friends instead. However, I still really loved him all the time. I still think about him on occasion now. I regret that we lost touch with each other… The second time I fell in love was a few years later. I met my husband and things seemed to fall into place with him. We’re still married and I think I love him more every day that we are together.
